A lifetime social media and Internet junky, I began my career in interactive marketing at the investment management firm Dimensional Fund Advisors in Santa Monica, Ca. Working directly with the Chief Marketing Officer and Interactive Marketing VP, I gained first-hand experience in public relations, event planning, communications and web development. It wasn’t long before my writing skills and intimate knowledge and understanding of Internet and Social Media trends landed me a new role as the web writer/content creator, responsible for a variety of web-based projects such as copy writing, web design, online video production, content management and client support.

After making a difficult decision not to follow Dimensional during their move to Austin, Texas, I decided to pursue a career as an independent social media marketing consultant. I’ve since worked on campaigns for a number of high-profile clients, startups and new brands, and also have had the opportunity to serve the independent film community. In addition, I have been given the chance to pass on some of my knowledge by training and educating marketing and PR professionals looking to enhance their skills and understanding of social media strategy and management tools.

When I’m not reading tech news, teaching myself Python and CSS, playing with my iPhone, writing blog articles, or updating my Twitter status, I love to watch classic movies, read books, shop, talk philosophy, and take pictures with my Polaroid camera.
